Current situation
Currently he is working as Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Computer Science at the University Goce Delcev in Stip, where he is Head of the Department of “Computer Engineering and Communication Technologies”.

Research interests
His research interest is mainly in communication and information theory. He works on coding for non-coherent communication in wireless systems and analysis of the performance limits of wireless networks, with accent on the geometric approach. His further interests include cooperative communications, protocol coding and information geometry.

Short Bio

Dr.-Ing. Zoran Utkovski received the Dipl.-Ing. degree in Electrical Engineering/Telecommunications from Ss. Cyril
and Methodius University in Skopje, R. Macedonia, in 2000, the M.Sc. degree (with distinction) in Electrical Engineering from
Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden in 2004, and the Dr.-Ing. degree (with distinction) in Electrical Engineering from
University of Ulm, Germany, in 2010. From 2005 to 2010, he was with University of Ulm, Germany. Since 2010, he has been an
assistant professor at University Goce Delcev Stip, R. Macedonia, where he is head of the Department of Computer Engineering and Communication Technologies. Since 2011, he has been a member of the Laboratory for Complex Systems and Networks at MANU. He held visiting researcher positions at Aalborg University and at Chalmers University of Technology. He is a coauthor of a paper that won the Best Poster Award at the IEEE Communication Theory Workshop in 2010. He is principal investigator of the project ``Non-
coherent Communication for Future Wireless Networks,'' funded by the German Research Foundation. He is national representative in the Management Committee of the COST IC1004 Action "Cooperative Radio Communications for Green Smart Environments.''
